Just below Mount San Salvatore from the town of Massino Visconti (it is absolutely necessary to climb there, breathtaking view of Lake Maggiore, moreover, we must also be able to land for a night at the top. We did not dare, it was Saturday night and there is a hostel. Do not go to the top in a motorhome, narrow road). The advantage is that it only takes 10/15 minutes to reach the shores of the lake, and 15/20 minutes from Stresa (for the Borromean Islands). Water fountain available (variable flow). The only downside is the water "source", a small water catchment building, which makes a river-like water noise from time to time. Not disturbing for sleeping though.
