Magnificent place at an altitude of 2,500 m, surrounded by mountains, above a valley that descends through the mountainside, with ruins of ancient forts and bunkers on the mountainside. 24 hours spent there are out of time, the view and landscapes are so sublime. Very peaceful, protected from the clouds by the various mountains that surround us. We spent one night at the end of September, on a weekday, and we were the only ones sleeping there. Magnificent hike starting from the ruins. There are many other trails for mountain biking or motorcycling, and even rock climbing for the more experienced. Regarding access, a small path the width of a vehicle winds to the top, with the bottom of the valley on one side. It requires concentration for about twenty kilometers; vehicles that are too long will barely pass (L3), but the end result is worth the effort to get there. The view is magnificent the entire way up, and there's an Italian refuge with very friendly staff halfway up, where you can sleep and eat. In winter, with the snow, access must be extremely difficult. A must-see.
