Very quiet place and beautiful place if you love nature. The journey is too long to just spend the night. There are two access roads, one from the south and the other from the north. The southern road is very bumpy and has a few potholes. Off-roading is not necessary, contrary to a recommendation. I got through easily with my old Iveco Daily. If you are coming from the south, you will probably have to reverse onto the site because the access road has a sharp angle. But you can also drive straight ahead for about 1000m to turn around. The terrain is flat and surprisingly clean for southern Italy. Unfortunately there is not much shade and a lot of mosquitoes at night, but that is the price you pay for peace and quiet...
